REQUIREMENTS FOR SALES AGENTS LICENSE

All applicants, who wish to obtain a California real estate sales agent's license must be: 

  1. 18 years of age or older 

  2. Have completed three (3) approved California Real Estate License Qualification courses 

  3. Have taken and passed the California real estate license exam, and  

  4. Have a legal presence in the United States 

The three required qualifying courses must include a course in Real Estate Principles, Real Estate Practice and one other pre-licensing course.  All of our Real Estate License Qualification Course Packages contain these two required courses.  The third course, needed to complete your three-course package may then be selected from the following list of home-study courses offered through Premier schools.  All of these courses are fully approved and accepted by the California Department of Real Estate. 

  • Real Estate Finance

  • Real Estate Appraisal

  • Legal Aspects of Real Estate

  • Real Estate Economics

  • Property Management

  • Mortgage Loan Brokering

  • Escrows

Note:  If you have previously taken any one of the above college level courses, you may be able to use it as your optional selection.  If this is the case, you would only need to order and complete our two-course package of Real Estate Principles and Real Estate Practice (Combo-Pak #4).

  • A college-level Business Law or General Accounting course may also be accepted as your optional selection      

  • Members of the California State Bar are exempt from the college-level course requirement.  Members of other State Bars, as well as individuals holding an LL.B or J.D. degree who are not members of a state bar, may generally qualify on the basis of Education
